Architectural Glass & Window Film Solutions in Pakistan

Pakistan’s sun is relentless – west-facing rooms become ovens by afternoon, air conditioners work overtime, and furnishings fade. Professional window film is a quick retrofit: a high-performance film applied to your existing glass that cuts heat and glare without replacing a single window.

BPC Company supplies and professionally installs architectural window films – solar control, privacy, and security films – plus architectural glass for offices. Founded in 2011 in Swat, we are a building-products, interiors, construction, and architectural-solutions company helping clients design spaces that last. Our film teams work across two regions: Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Jhelum from our DHA Phase 2 branch, and Swat, Shangla, Dir, Buner, and Peshawar from our Mingora branch.

Cheap peel-and-stick films are sold everywhere online, but buying film is the easy part. The mistake we see most often is a good film ruined by a bad installation – bubbles, dust specks, creases, and peeling edges. Choosing the wrong film is the other classic error: a film too dark for a north-facing room, or a dyed film where a reflective one was needed. That is why we work as installers, not just sellers: we survey your glass, show samples in place, and apply the right film with professional tools and clean, sealed edges.

What window film does for your rooms

  • Cooler rooms, lower cooling load. Solar films reject a large share of the sun’s heat before it enters, so air conditioners work less hard through the summer.
  • Glare control without darkness. The right film cuts harsh glare on screens and floors while keeping rooms bright – we show samples so you choose with confidence.
  • UV protection for interiors. Films block most ultraviolet light, slowing the fading of curtains, carpets, sofas, and wooden floors near windows.
  • Daytime privacy. One-way and frosted films keep interiors private from outside view while preserving your outlook. One honest caveat: the one-way mirror effect reverses at night when interior lights are on – we explain this at every survey so there are no surprises.
  • Security for glass. Thicker security films hold shattered glass together, buying time against break-ins and reducing injury from accidental breakage.
  • Quick retrofit, no replacement. Film goes onto your existing windows in hours – no new glass, no construction mess.
  • A professional result. Our installers prepare glass contamination-free and apply film with proper edge sealing, so it stays smooth and clear.

Solar, privacy and security film types

Solar control and heat control window film

Solar control film is the type buyers ask us for most: a thin multi-layer film applied to the inside of your existing glass. How it works depends on the technology. Metallized films contain fine metallic layers that reflect solar energy away – effective, with a slightly mirrored look. Dyed films absorb heat into the film itself, which is why they suit lighter applications; on large panes in extreme sun, absorbed heat can stress the glass, so we specify carefully. Ceramic films use nano-ceramic particles to block infrared heat while staying visually neutral – the premium choice when you want strong heat rejection without a tinted look.

Options range from lightly tinted films that preserve a clear view to darker shades for harsh west-facing glass. It suits homes, offices, schools, and shops – anywhere the afternoon sun drives up cooling costs. Where the goal is cutting heat without losing daylight, we steer you toward the lightest film that still does the job – not the darkest one on the shelf.

Privacy window film

Privacy films include frosted films for bathrooms, meeting rooms, and street-facing windows; one-way mirror films that give a reflective exterior by day; and decorative patterned films that brand a glass partition or soften a plain window. We bring samples to the survey so you see the actual effect on your glass before deciding – phone screens and catalogue photos never show it accurately.

Security window film

Security window film is a thicker, tougher film that bonds to the glass and holds fragments together on impact. It is chosen for ground-floor shops, banks, schools, pharmacies, and villas – anywhere broken glass means danger or easy entry. It delays forced entry and contains accidental breakage. It does not make glass unbreakable, and we say so honestly – it is a delaying and safety layer, not a substitute for good locks and solid frames.

Architectural glass: partitions, panels and shopfronts

Alongside films, we supply and install architectural glass for commercial clients: glass partitions for offices, fixed glass panels, and shopfront glazing that divide space without blocking light. Frosted or branded film over partition glass gives meeting rooms privacy with a premium look – a combination our team delivers within custom office interiors and media walls.

A note on the numbers: solar films are typically around 1.5–2 mil thick; security films run 4–8 mil, which is what gives them their hold-together strength. All films are applied by professional wet application – a slip solution lets us position the film precisely before squeegeeing it down – with clean edge trimming. Edge sealing matters more than most buyers realise: sealed edges keep moisture, dust, and cleaning chemicals from creeping under the film, which is what causes the peeling corners you see on cheap DIY jobs. Film vs other ways to control heat and glare

Professional installation vs DIY films. Online marketplaces are full of cheap DIY window films – and full of reviews complaining about bubbles, dust specks, peeling corners, and films that barely reduce heat. The film itself is only half the product: professional installation means precise measurement, contamination-free glass preparation, wet application with proper squeegee technique, and sealed edges. We also match the film to your goal – heat, privacy, or security – because the wrong film is money wasted even if perfectly applied.

Film vs blinds. Film and blinds attack heat and glare from different sides: film works at the glass itself, always on, while solar-control roller and zebra blinds give you adjustable control you can raise or lower. Many of our clients combine both – film for constant heat rejection, blinds for adjustable privacy and light. If you prefer controllable shading with a remote or app, see smart blinds with remote and app control.

Film vs window replacement. Film is a retrofit product: it upgrades the glass you already have. When the joinery itself is failing – warped frames, broken seals, single panes that leak air – film cannot fix the window, and replacement is the honest recommendation; in that case our double-glazed uPVC window systems are the right conversation. This page stays on film applied to existing glass – that is the boundary, and we do not blur it.

How BPC surveys and installs window film

1. Free consultation. Tell us your goal – less heat, less glare, more privacy, glass security, or office partitioning – and share photos of the glass areas.

2. Site measurement. We visit, measure the glass, note orientation and any existing tint, and bring film samples to view on your actual windows so you see the real effect.

3. Transparent quotation. You receive a written quotation per film type and total glass area, with any architectural glass work itemised separately.

4. Professional installation. Glass is deep-cleaned and prepared, film is applied with professional tools, edges are trimmed and sealed; architectural glass is fitted to specification. The site is left clean.

5. After-sales support. We provide curing and care guidance – when to clean, what to avoid – and remain reachable for any edge or adhesion issues.

What affects the cost

Window film pricing is quoted per project because every glass area is different. The factors that shape your quotation: the total glass area to be filmed; the film type – solar, privacy, decorative, and security films sit in different ranges; the condition and accessibility of the glass, since high or hard-to-reach windows need access equipment; the complexity of any architectural glass work such as office partitions or shopfronts; and your location within our service regions. What we do not do is quote blind figures over the phone for unseen glass – a quick survey or clear photos give you an accurate written number. Caring for filmed glass: curing and maintenance

Freshly applied film needs a short curing period before it is cleaned – typically a few days, during which small water bubbles under the film are normal and dry out on their own. Do not press them or peel at the edges. After curing, clean filmed glass with a soft cloth or squeegee and a mild, ammonia-free cleaner; abrasive pads and sharp scrapers will damage the surface. Interior solar and privacy films sit on the inside of the glass, so they are protected from weather and last well with this simple routine. If an edge ever lifts or a corner peels, call us – we return for genuine adhesion issues under our after-sales support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I buy window film online and install it myself, or hire a professional?

DIY peel-and-stick films often end with bubbles, trapped dust, and peeling corners – and choosing the wrong film wastes money even if applied neatly. Professional installation means precise measurement, contamination-free preparation, proper application tools, sealed edges, and the right film matched to your goal. For large or highly visible glass, professional fitting is worth it.

Does window film really reduce heat in rooms?

Yes. Solar control films reject a significant share of the sun’s heat before it enters the room, which is why west-facing rooms feel the biggest difference. How much depends on the film technology – reflective, dyed, or ceramic – and we discuss options with samples at the survey.

Will window film make my home or office too dark?

Not necessarily. Films come in a wide range of visible light transmission, from nearly clear to quite dark – lighter films cut heat with minimal change to brightness. We show samples on your actual glass so you decide with your own eyes.

Can film be applied to my existing windows, or do I need new glass?

Existing glass is fine – window film is a retrofit product, which is the whole point. If the frames themselves are failing, that is a different job: see our uPVC window systems.

Does security window film stop burglars?

It holds shattered glass together, which delays forced entry and reduces injury from accidental breakage – but it does not make glass unbreakable. It works best combined with good locks and solid frames, and we will tell you plainly what it can and cannot do.

Do you install glass partitions for offices?

Yes – glass partitions for offices with optional frosted or branded film for meeting-room privacy, supplied and installed as part of our architectural glass work.

How long does installation take, and when can I clean the windows?

Most homes and small offices are completed within the visit; the film then needs a few days to cure fully before cleaning. We give written care guidance at handover.

Which areas do you serve for window film installation?

Our teams cover Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Jhelum from our DHA Phase 2 branch, and Swat, Shangla, Dir, Buner, and Peshawar from our Mingora branch.
